sonshine – (video) – (en/es)

People, especially male ones, have told us that it’s the decease of the father which opens the prospect of one’s own end, and affords an unobstructed view of the undug but awaiting grave saying ‘you’re next.’ Unfilial as this may seem, that was not at all so in my own case. It was only when I watched my own children being born that I knew at once that my own funeral director had very suddenly, but quite unmistakably, stepped onto the stage. I was surprised by how calmly I took this, but also by how reluctant I was to mention it to my contemporaries.
But I’m not here to philosophize about myself today…
There is more to a boy than what his mother sees. There is more to a boy than what his father dreams. Inside every boy lies a heart that beats. And sometimes it screams, refusing to take defeat. And sometimes his father’s dreams aren’t big enough, and sometimes his mother’s vision isn’t long enough. And sometimes the boy has to dream his own dreams and break through the clouds with his own sunbeams.
Here’s my sonshine -one of them.

Sonshine – By Dugutigui

About Dugutigui

In the “Diula” language in Mali, the term « dugutigui » (chief of the village), literally translated, means: «owner of the village»; «dugu» means village and «tigui», owner. Probably the term is the result of the contraction of «dugu kuntigui» (literally: chief of the village).

  1. He is very good indeed.🙂 Wow, your perfectionism has passed to your son, no wonder you are proud of him!!!🙂
I have listened him also playing classical guitar, but he’s better with the electric one! I am a music devorator, especially rock, so I guess I can tell the difference between rubbish, medium and premium music……😆😆

  2. And I like this one too!!! He is really good on his PRS guitar!!! Did he ever think of a career on his own? I think he would be even more valuable on his own that with Bad Sugar. It’s just a thought after listening him in the band and then solo.🙂

  3. Hehe , we have something else than blogging in common D., we both listen to electric guitars…😀
Metallica, Iron Maiden, many, many others… but most of all, Garry Moore!🙂😆
