Acerca de Dugutigui

In the “Diula” language in Mali, the term « dugutigui » (chief of the village), literally translated, means: «owner of the village»; «dugu» means village and «tigui», owner. Probably the term is the result of the contraction of «dugu kuntigui» (literally: chief of the village).

She’ll enjoy Ghana. Friendly people, nice music, healthy and interesting night life… Do not miss Cape Coast and Takoradi in the west or the Volta River in the east, near Accra …

      Balance

If the world were a body
      Africa would be the eyes
      Shining
In the knowledge of things that have been
Of life’s truest tests and most intense beauty
If the world were a body
The western world would be the hands
      With the capacity
      Of an uplifting generosity
      Together
      These eyes of wisdom
      And hands of generosity
      Can create balance,
      Peace

      Thanks a lot!
Kofi Annan once said that there is no development strategy more beneficial to society as a whole – women and men alike – than the one which involves women as central players.
      You are the proof!

I don’t often reblog other bloggers’ posts, but when I do, it’s usually because it involves either some breathtaking photos or else some incredibly hilarious writing. This falls into the former category – the following images are taken from Damantigui’s Blog on his visit to Ghana. Ghanaian life is so beautiful captured that I don’t know if I’ll ever get to visit, but these photos sure make me want to!
